A very rare stater from the Carnutes in exceptional condition

CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Carnutes. 2nd to early 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 7.31 g, 3 h), 'à la lyre inversée - à la joue ornée' type. Ceticized male head with curly hair and prominent chin to right. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right, holding kentron in his right hand and reins in his left; below the horses, inverted lyre. DT 2525. Flesche -. LT 5947. Very rare and in exceptional condition for the issue. A beautifully centered and unusually complete example. Minor edge cracks, otherwise, good very fine.
